Singapore Condos Best for Pet owners

Lifestyle / Amenity

Households with dogs/cats; need pet-friendly bylaws, ground or low-floor units, nearby pet relief areas.

This page is for households with dogs or cats who need a pet-friendly building. In Singapore strata law, pets are governed by each condominium's by-laws — not all condos allow dogs, and even pet-allowed ones often cap weight (commonly 15kg) or breed (some ban listed dangerous breeds per AVS schedule). Always confirm with the MCST (Management Corporation Strata Title) before committing.

What to verify: the condo's pet by-laws (number of pets per unit, weight cap, breed restrictions, lift usage rules — many require pets to be carried inside lifts); ground-floor or low-floor units that bypass the lift-with-pet awkwardness; balcony or yard space (even 50 sqft of outdoor area transforms a dog's daily life); and the absence of large unfenced pools the dog might fall into.

Nearby pet relief / walking infrastructure: dog-friendly parks (Bishan-AMK Park, Pasir Ris Park, West Coast Park, Sengkang Riverside Park, the PCN — Park Connector Network — coverage list from NParks) within walking distance saves a daily car ride. Pet-friendly cafés and groomers (the East Coast / Joo Chiat cluster is the densest in Singapore) make day-to-day pet life easier.

HDB note: HDB flats have strict pet rules — only one approved dog breed per flat (the HDB-approved breed list is narrow; most large breeds are banned), and cats are technically not permitted in HDB flats (though enforcement is uneven). If you're a serious dog owner with a medium-large breed, private property is usually the path. See our First-time HDB upgraders page if you're transitioning out of HDB partly because of pet rules.

This is NOT for you if: you don't actually plan to keep pets at this property (no premium needed) — but consider listing pet-friendliness in your sale documentation when you eventually exit, since it expands your buyer pool.
