Editorial methodology
- Primary sources: IRAS (stamp duty, property tax), MAS (mortgage rates, SORA), CPF Board (housing usage rules), HDB (resale + BTO data), URA (private transactions, GLS programme).
- Dataset: All charts and worked examples draw from our internal database of 450K+ URA sales, 450K+ rental records, and full HDB resale + median rent history.
- Review cadence: Every guide carries a "Last reviewed" timestamp. Rates and policy references are re-verified quarterly against the primary sources above; articles with stale data are flagged and rewritten before publication continues.
- Disclosures: Sponsored content and affiliate placements carry explicit disclosure labels per Singapore ASAS and FTC guidelines. ShiokNest does not quote bank mortgage rates directly — all rate data comes from public bank disclosures or aggregator feeds with timestamps.
