History and development
Developed from the 1980s on former plantation land in the area historically linked to the pioneer Lim Nee Soon, Yishun matured over subsequent decades into one of the north's largest towns. The redevelopment of its town centre with an integrated hub in the 2010s modernised the estate while retaining its established character.
